2016 Updates

2016 - Toy Drive Breakdown

  • We delivered over 70+ toys and 9 stuffed animals over to Carleton Village Public School

  • 200+ toys donated to Children’s Aid Foundation of Durham along with 80+ pieces of art supplies and construction paper.

  • 50+ toys donated to Cassandra Public School

  • 200+ toys donated to Kerr Street mission

  • 80-100 donated to Peel Children’s Aid.

  • 6 skids of items donated as well! Over 470+ toys donated to Peel region boys and girls groups.

  • We also helped an orphanage in Quebec by selecting 60-70 children in desperate need of some cheer and gave them personalized and wrapped gifts along with providing the facility with an xbox one with four controllers and rock band, along with a PS4 as well. This Orphanage has over 400 children, so the impact of these donations will go a long way!

A quote from the local person we worked with to get this all delivered:

“I get to see first-hand the impact that these thoughtful acts have.

I first got a tour of the Centre Jeunesse de Laval last year in October, much to my surprise there are 400 kids living in a converted nunnery, many are under 24 hour a day lock-down, while others are allowed to attend school and return in the afternoon. After the tour, I left in tears, wanting to adopt all 400 kids because it just didn’t make sense to me that 400 kids between the age of 10 and 17 didn’t have families they could go home to, let alone have nowhere to go at Christmas. After my family said we couldn’t adopt 400 kids, I knew I needed to find a way to help, try to make even a small difference in their lives.”
